Fix the Bus

Jack Crichton is a name you don’t hear too much about when it comes to the Kennedy Assassination, but he is an important name nonetheless. He is a man who lurks in the shadows of this vast conspiracy.

Jack Crichton was of course a friend of Poppy Bush and man about town in Dallas, Texas back in the day.

Born is Louisiana he got a degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M. He went on during World War II to join OSS. Later he worked in the petroleum industry and soon found himself meeting important people in that field of work. He worked with and for Everett DeGolyer and many others.

Eventually he was important enough to secure the Republican nomination for governor in 1964. He lost to John Connally.

What makes Crichton interesting is his connection to Poppy Bush and his establishment of the 488th Military Intelligence Detachment a private spy agency. Apparently 40 to 50 men from the Dallas Police Department were members of either the 488th or another intel organization Crichton had set up; and this then makes Crichton relevant to the assassination.

The DPD and the infiltration of the DPD is essential in the killing of Lee Oswald. for it has long been suspected that someone in the DPD was instrumental in LHO’s murder. How did Jack Ruby get in that police garage? When did he get in the garage?

It’s reasonable to suspect that Crichton’s organization knowingly or knowingly at the minimum facilitated such entry.

Both Crichton and Poppy were CIA sympathizers, and Poppy was an operative himself. It wouldn’t be too difficult for a CIA assassination architect to place an operative inside the DPD who could facilitate Jack Ruby’s entrance into the DPD on Friday (11/22/63) or Sunday (11/22/63). Yes it is known that Jack Ruby was already familiar with many members of the DPD and normally would have had easy access to the DPD, but this was a special occasion. On these days, Jack Ruby would also need protection in case a righteous federal do-gooder chose to throw him out. Thus the need for an extra measure of assurance that Jack Ruby could gain access.

It seems reasonable that Crichton’s organization could facilitate such entry. It also wouldn’t hurt that Crichton had powerful political friends at the time. One of has classmates at A&M was Earle Cabell, the mayor of Dallas; and Earl was of course the brother of Charles Cabell of the CIA. we have already mentioned Poppy Bush.

Now, in an interview in his later years, Crichton comes off to be a nice enough guy. He doesn’t seem the type who would act in a nefarious manner. Maybe he’s too nice though. Maybe he’s not cognizant that there are people in this world who would use him to commit wicked acts.
