The Shots Explained

Okay, here are the shots as I believe they were planned and executed.

PA= Person A: Umbrella Man

PB = Person B: Walkie-Talkie Man

Back = Dal-Tex

Front = Grassy Knoll

Let us refer to PA and PB as the Metronomes. They are the men responsible for the timing and sequencing of the shots.

Shot 1 PA:  Arm up PB:  Arm down. Supersonic. Front. Z180. JFK’s left.

Shot 2 PA:  Arm up PB:  Arm up. Subsonic. Back. Z215. JFK’s Back.

Shot 3  PA:  Arm down PB:  Arm up. Subsonic. Front. Z225. JFK’s Neck.

Shot 4  PA:  Arm down PB:  Arm down. Supersonic. Back. Z229. JC Back

Break Point

Shot 5  PA:  Arm up PB:  Arm down. Subsonic. Back. Z268. Tague.

Shot 6  PA:  Arm up PB:  Arm up. Supersonic. Front. Z313. JFK’s Head.

Shot 7  PA:  Arm down PB:  Arm up. Supersonic. Back. Z326. Manhole.

Shot 8  PA:  Arm down PB:  Arm down. Subsonic. Front. Z350. Miss.

Follow the shot numbers form the left over to the colored dot to which they correspond. Shot 5 is depicted twice to illustrate the approximate position of the Presidential car and where James Tague was standing. Shot 1 is depicted twice to illustrate the approximate position of the Presidential car and where the bullet probably landed. Shot 1 was a miss. Technically so was Shot 5. Shot 7, another miss, is depicted twice to illustrate the approximate position of the Presidential car and the manhole where the bullet landed.

Here is a proposed way how the team leaders are coordinating the shots based upon the arm motions of PA and PB.

Before the break point Front Team leader is watching PA (Umbrella Man). When PA raises his arm , he taps Assassin C on the flank. When PA lowers his arm, he taps Assassin D on the flank.

Before the break point, Back Team leader is watching PB (Walkie Talkie Man). When PB raises his arm, he taps Assassin A on the flank. When PA lowers his arm, he taps Assassin B on the flank.

After the break point, the roles reverse.

After the break point, Back Team leader is watching PA (Umbrella Man). When PA raises his arm, he taps Assassin A on the flank. When PA lowers his arm, he taps Assassin B on the flank.

After the break point Front Team leader is watching PB (Walkie Talkie Man). When PB raises his arm , he taps Assassin C on the flank. When PB lowers his arm, he taps Assassin D on the flank

Although this might seem confusing, it is really not confusing. The team leaders only need to watch each man lift and raise his arm once. Each team leader does not need to worry about what the other team or team leader is doing. Each team leader only needs to focus on his part of the mission. For example, if I am Front Team Leader, I only need to tap when each man lifts and then lowers his arm in this sequence: PA up, PA down, PB up and PB down. Conversely, if I am Back Team Leader, I only need to tap when each man lifts and then lowers his arm in this sequence: PB up, PB down, PA up and PA down.

Does this make sense? It’s pretty simple.

Each Team Leader only needs to tap when each Metronome (PA or PB) raises and then lowers his arm once. Each team leader is only going to go through the cycle once.

Given that, how do the Metronomes coordinate their arm motions?

  1. Practice. You become good at something by practicing.
  2. Operationally, by speech. Even though Umbrella Man is standing behind Walkie Talkie Man, there is no reason they can not be counting or communicating out loud. The other people around them won’t know what’s going on because they will be focused on the President.

The important thing to understand is that the shots and their sequencing is being controlled by the Metronomes not the shooters.

Now, I want you pretend to be Umbrella Man (Person A). I want you to pace your voice and speak out loud at an even measure. Up … Up … Down … Down. Then repeat the sequence: Up … Up … Down … Down. As you say the first Up and the first Down in each sequence, I want you to raise and lower your arm accordingly. How easy was that? Easy-peasy.

Now, I want you to pretend to be Walkie Talkie Man (Person B). You are standing nearly on the street in front of Umbrella Man. You cannot see him, but you can hear him. As you hear Umbrella Man say the second Up and second Down in each sequence, I want you to raise and lower your arm accordingly. How easy was that? Easy-peasy.

Here is a diagram showing the arrangement of the teams and how the sequencing follows a logically ordered paradigm.

I have matched the colors to what is depicted above.
